GoldInvestingCompanies.com is an independent website that compares companies selling physical gold and silver, and publishes guides for people who are thinking about buying.
What this site is
We are a publisher. We are not a gold dealer, a custodian, a depository or a financial adviser. We do not sell gold, hold anyone's money or open accounts. When you click through to a company from this site, you deal with that company directly.
Our articles are written and maintained by the site's editorial team. We publish under the site's name because the work is shared, and because we would sooner be judged on our sources than on a byline.
How we rank companies
Our ranking compares three companies on what can be checked from the outside:
- how long each has been in business, and its Better Business Bureau rating and accreditation
- how much each explains before a sale
- what each says, in writing, about buying metal back
- whether it names where metal is stored
- how much is needed to start, and whether that figure is published
We have not ordered metal from these companies or tested them as customers, and we say so on the ranking page. The ranking is general information. It is not a recommendation to buy, and it cannot take your own finances into account.
Where our facts come from
Company facts come from two places: the company's own website and its Better Business Bureau profile. Each fact is dated, and the ranking page keeps an update history. Where a company does not publish something, we say "confirm with the company" instead of borrowing a number from another website.
Facts about fraud cases in our gold scammer list come from regulator press releases and court records, and each case links to its source.
What we leave out
- Company costs. The figures that circulate online are often wrong or out of date, so we do not repeat them. Ask each company for its current schedule in writing.
- Price predictions. Nobody knows where the gold price is going.
- Personal advice. We do not know your situation. For that, speak with a licensed professional who is not paid on the sale.
How the site earns money

This site has no contact form, phone line or support desk. We cannot answer questions about an order or an account. For those, contact the company you bought from; its phone number is on its own website.
